Top Ten Kind of May for Paul and SMR Mahopac, NY – A trio of top ten finishes followed by a lap made for YouTube that ended with a broken car is one way to sum up the month of May for Screaming Monkey Racing driver Tim Paul, with backing from CellMark Paper. The month started at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in the MX-5 Cup and ended at Watkins Glen International, on the opposite side of the country, for the F2000 Championship Series.

Driving a Mazda MX-5 for Alara Racing in rounds three and four of the SCCA Pro Racing MX-5 Cup, Paul said Laguna Seca was a dream that went unfulfilled until last year.

Top Tens for Paul Mahopac, NY – Two F2000 Championship Series races over a four-day Road Atlanta opening weekend delivered a pair of top ten finishes, including a sixth place run on a Sunday afternoon in Georgia for Tim Paul. Heading out of rounds one and two of 14 for F2000 this year, Paul sits tied for sixth place in the F2000 points.

A full test day at the 12-turn Road Atlanta on April 10 gave teams and drivers plenty of time to get re-acclimated to their equipment after a long off season. For Paul, and the No. 06 CellMark Paper GTP Motorsports/Screaming Monkey Racing Van Diemen, it was bonus track time. The team had raced in an SCCA Majors event in Georgia just a few weeks prior.
